# What makes a Learning eXperience Designer stand out compared to other Learning Designers?

hi Lynn, I am attaching a link to a great article and infographic that NovoEd developed back in September 2021 which easily highlights the differences between a traditional Learning Designer and an LXD designer. As one will quickly see, the technology available now can make a learning engagement easily expand from one way communication to exciting two-way dialogue and engagement that enables the learner to adopt new behaviors quickly and with more retention. For me, it’s a matter of upgrading our skill set to accommodate the way people learn now.
