Competency-Based Learning & Capacity- Based Learning: Is there a Difference?

In a recent LX webinar two terms were explored competencies, and capacity.
I present the link below that provides another view identifying competencies are almost inseparable from capacities. This will be a different perspective, nonetheless, it is worthy of a 30 minute read to review and discern how you identify with both terms and how you engage your learners with respect to both.

Competencies are the capacities people use to navigate their culture, community and careers; they are gained by learning skills. Skills are gained through the applied understanding of concepts. Concepts are the elements of understanding that construct our skills. Competency-based learning lays the foundation for all future lifelong learning.
