Introduce yourself!

Welcome @muddasir.irshad! We hope this community will be helpful to you as you participate in LXD (and beyond). There’s an LXD lounge here - we hope you make use of it!

Currently, my best practice in learning UX/UI design is to focus on the user and their needs. When working on projects, it is a sprint, and even though my projects have been group projects, each member’s task is just as important as the next. Teamwork is very important in designing and developing the best plan and product for our clients.

Hi everyone!

I’m Jonathan Wang, a senior L&D specialist at Trip.com Group (in the OTA industry). I’ve been working in L&D area for over 8 years with experience in ISD, LXD, e-learning design, graphic design, and consulting & coaching (related to both individual and leadership development). I have devoted myself in multiple learning solution programs/projects design and found myself quite interested in e-learning design - especially when I witness the high engagement level and consistent progress from the learners - always giving me a sense of achievements.

I found this is a cool platform where I can start to connect with and learn from different people. Look forward to a great learning journey in the coming 5 weeks!

A mixture. When I write courses and my team helps to bring them to life, we like to make sure there is a mixture of videos, written content, and interactions to true help the learning process.

Congratulations on the move, Jennifer! I was in NC recently for a wedding near Asheville (spectacular vistas between the Great Smokey and Blue Ridge mountains), only having ever been once before…when I (true story) pitched the North Carolina Distillers Association(!) on a new initiative. As you might imagine - a very unique meeting.

Welcome to The LX!!!

Thank you, Lynn!

Tips, let’s see… first and foremost you have to be intentional and truly want your learners/audience to feel welcomed, like they belong, and that they are able to easily access the intended experience. The intention is a driving force or guiding principle for all decisions moving forward. Also, it’s important to be open and flexible so you can modify designs, etc. when you realize you need to fix something.
These mindsets and skills are foundational in my experiences.

Hi, everyone!

I’m Jethro Malimata and I currently oversee product development and business development for our educator training programs at Thames International School. I’ve been involved in the delivery of educator training programs for one and half years now. I’ve done everything from coordinating with our clients (mostly from the Ministry of Education), facilitating in the actual courses, providing technical support, and leading our facilitator teams. You can access my LinkedIn profile here.

A topic I’m passionate about learning about is how individuals and communities can best learn and how we as learning experience designers can enable that. Everything I’ve learned I’ve learned through online courses and my scrolling through social media (i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn). If there are posts and courses you think might be helpful, feel free to send them my way.
