Hello
In collaborative online learning ; peer feedback is a powerful learning tool; but the quality can vary wildly.
I am exploring how Generative AI tools might be used to guide, enhance / even partially generate constructive peer feedback; especially when learners struggle to articulate helpful comments. ![]()
For eg; could an LLM review a peer’s project & offer structured suggestions based on rubric criteria / previous top-rated responses? ![]()
There’s potential to reduce bias, encourage deeper reflection & support learners who are less confident giving feedback.
But I am also cautious about the risks like overreliance on AI-generated suggestions / diluting the authenticity of peer learning. ![]()
Has anyone here experimented with this idea or seen it piloted in a learning platform? ![]()
During my research; I revisited https://er.educause.edu/articles/2023/12/7-things-you-should-know-about-generative-ai with the fundamentals of what is Generative AI , and realized how impactful it could be beyond content creation especially in shaping collaborative; reflective learning experiences.
I would love to hear from educators or instructional designers thinking along the same lines.
Thank you !! ![]()
